Through 2003 held an architect role for six months on a team that was evaluating several important technologies for integration, including server-side reporting, remediation (automating patch delivery and other workarounds for vulnerabilities), helpdesk integration. In 2004 I established a new sustaining team responsible for working with technical support group to troubleshoot and resolve escalated problems with released versions of large enterprise security products.In June 2005 transfered to France to improve sustaining turnaround for European customers. Later as more and more engineering moved from Utah to India, also provided a bridge between US support and India engineering whose time zones only barely overlapped so that support could get same-day answers. Visited customers to resolve particularly difficult technical problems (and in some cases to repair customer relations) as well as to run beta tests of upcoming versions of the product line. Provided training to European SEs.

Provided customer role in XP process by writing, prioritizing and validating requirements. Provided competitive analysis based on market research and visits with large customer. Provided training to SEs and Support. Made presentations at Symantec's internal World Wide Sales Conference and external enterprise user group SecureXchange. Worked with a group of engineers to become the first employees at Symantec to receive CISSP certification and went on to train several others to prepare for the certification exam.
