I am a highly motivated Safety Professional with 25 years of collective safety experience. I have 17 years of law enforcement experience with the Nevada Department of Public Safety in various duty stations within Nevada as well as 8 years of Health & safety experience with Newmont USA Ltd.. I am well versed in various aspects of Safety Management as well as Industrial Hygiene. I have experience in surface as well as underground operations throughout Newmont’s Nevada Operations. I have an Advanced Safety Certificate through the National Safety Council and I am currently the Regional HSLP Manager for Contractor Management for Newmont. I have an extensive background in public safety including, Technical Accident Reconstruction and Criminal Investigations. I am certified as an expert in Accident Reconstruction with over 130 fatal accidents that I have directly investigated or supervised the investigation. I have extensive investigative training in major crime and highway drug interdiction. I am very proficient in Nevada Revised Statutes, Title 49 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations as well as Title 30 Federal Metal and Nonmetallic Mining Safety & Health Standards. I have spent 20 years in a supervisory/management positions with Newmont and the State of Nevada.
