Responsible for the preservation of peace, the prevention, detection, and investigation of crimes, the arrest of violators, and the provision of assistance to all personnel in emergency situations including the protection of civil rights on all property owned and controlled by the Department of Veterans Affairs. Will enforce Federal, State and local laws as well as VA Rules and Regulations pertaining to law enforcement work.

Established in 1792, the United States Mint Police is one of the oldest federal law enforcement agencies in the nation.  Responsible for establishing the standard “As secure as Fort Knox,” officers continue to meet that standard every day.  The U.S. Mint Police are responsible for protecting over $100 billion in Treasury and other Government assets stored in facilities located at Philadelphia, PA; San Francisco, CA; West Point, NY; Denver, CO; Fort Knox, KY; and at headquarters in Washington, DC.U.S. Mint Police Officers have the primary responsibility for protecting life and property, preventing, detecting, and investigating criminal acts, collecting and preserving evidence, making arrests, and enforcing Federal and local laws.24 hours-a-day the Mint Police safeguard over 1,650 U.S. Mint employees, thousands of visitors and $100 billion in gold, silver and coinage.

Provides around-the-clock force protection, antiterrorism, and security operations through police services, facilities security, emergency response, and protective countermeasure programs for Agency installations and facilities in order to protect the DLA's people, resources, mission and infrastructure from violence and destruction.The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is Department of Defense's largest combat support agency, providing worldwide logistics support in both peacetime and wartime to the military services as well as several civilian agencies and foreign countries.

Led, directed and managed all law enforcement, traffic enforcement, community policing and physical security activities for a 90 person armed military police force. Supervised protection for resources valued over $12B and assets designated as vital to national security including Air Force 1. Analyzed criminal behavior/intelligence reports and implemented measures to mitigate threats for 26,000 personnel daily. Wrote, reviewed, coordinated and tested contingency plans which resulted in training validation and identified potential security vulnerabilities. Managed personnel actions such as schedules and discipline, professional development, training and certification requirements. Initiated periodic penetration exercises to test and qualify random anti-terrorism measures, security systems and defense force responses. Identified areas requiring improvement and initiated corrective actions. Supported protective services for protection of the President of the United States, Vice President, high ranking US and foreign dignitaries.

Led & supervised 10 person workforce charged with entry control MAFB. Managed implementation of DoD computer based entry system and all remote users. Identified & enforced performance objectives IAW DoD regulations. Prepared daily work schedules; authored weekly entry/denial reports for the base commander.

Led 23 person Nuclear Security Response force in USAF largest Intercontinental Ballistic Missile complex. Ensured adequate security for 150 nuclear missile sites spread across 13,800 sq. mi. area. Maintained $1.5M worth of vehicles and specialized tactical security equipment daily. Managed training initiative program for 100+ person section. Records custodian for all training records within the section.

Program manager for 5 law enforcement related programs: crime prevention program for 26,000 population including 2 schools/3 child development centers; MD State Police chemical test for alcohol program comprised of 10 operators that serviced Joint Base Andrews and various other police departments near southern PG County, MD; MD State Police preliminary breath test program for 60+ operators; traffic warden program for 35 base agencies; contract manager for 75 person civilian guard force (U.S. Protect & Pinkerton Security); law enforcement equipment custodian for speed enforcement, surveillance operations and anti-terrorism measure tools; magistrate court bailiff program comprised of 6 bailiffs. Building custodian for 5 base entry point buildings. Reviewed and edited all traffic citations, police and suspicious activity reports to ensure legal accuracy and regulation compliance.

Maintained remote control of $2B electronic security system controlling 64 entry points to resources designated as vital to national security. Certified ADT alarm response monitor. CJIS certified NCIC terminal operator. Police operations supervisor & 911 Dispatcher for 60 person military police force supporting Presidential security.

Provided police patrol services for residents and employees. Conducted traffic enforcement, accident investigations and interviewed suspects of federal and state crimes. Also provided security for Presidential resources. Stood watch as an installation entry controller for both locations listed above as well.
