• Oversees the research, identification, evaluation, and initial development of new products. • Manages testing schedules and prioritizes experiments by level of importance. • Leads laboratory safety initiatives and ensures that equipment is operated safely and within operating parameters. • Responsible for the development and maintenance of lab policies and procedures. • Oversees the accuracy of the laboratory staff to ensure accountability for quality of tests and test results. • Keep engineering management advised of work status, work load, problems, and progress as related to work assignments. • Develop test procedures, equipment manuals, and documentation associated with equipment tested.• Maintains inventory of lab equipment and materials
