Don Wilson is the founder of FranCap Corporation, a Ventura County, California-based venture capital group that specializes in the development, marketing, and management of franchises with a unique business model. Mr. Wilson, a pioneer in franchise development, assisted in the submission of documents that led to the creation of the first franchise laws in the United States, which were passed in the State of California in 1971. In 1964, Mr. Wilson established Fran Cap Corporation, then known as Franchise Capital Resources Fund, to address the investment needs of businesses working within the franchise method of marketing. Mr. Wilson contributed to the formation of more than 200 national and international franchises, including companies such as Century 21 Real Estate, Dunkin’ Donuts, Baja Fresh Mexican Grill, and the National Yellow Pages Services Association (NYPSA). Mr. Wilson is also the founder of Cartel Equity Fund, LLC, an equity and acquisitions venture capital fund.
