Managed staff of 45+ and overseeing patient/resident care, ensuring adherence to facility policies and procedures, and state and federal regulations in a 241 bed facility. Directed the QAPI program: Quality Assurance (QA) and Performance Improvement (PI). In nursing homes QAPI aims to improve processes involved in health care delivery to improve resident quality of life. Collected, documented and analyzed data for QA reports. Planned and organized monthly and quarterly meetings to report data and helped initiate/direct any PIPs (performance improvement projects). Monitored and Tracked all PIPs.

Maintained a high level of patient/resident care on a 42 bed skilled/long-term-care unit. Supervised, supported, evaluated and mentored other nurses and CNAs. Ensured accurate and timely documentation in patient/ resident medical records. Performed routine nursing duties and assumed staff nurse role when staffing indicated.
