• Provides psychiatric screening services to children and adults including mental health assessment, evaluation, treatment, dispositions, referral services, and crisis intervention counseling to stabilize a psychiatric crisis • Responsible for supervising and assisting in patient care issues as well as follow up on assigned tasks and for consistently setting and evaluating priorities• Assesses the need for hospitalization, either voluntary or involuntary, based on the principal of “lease restrictive setting” as well as danger to self, danger to others, and danger to property• Delivers advocacy, support, assistance and education to patients, families, and other patient service providers • Works in harmony with other staff members of interdisciplinary team to achieve best service possible to patients
