I am a current Master's student in the Computer and Information Technology program at the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Washington. I entered the UPenn MCIT program to continue to cultivate the technical skillsets I gained through my econometrics background to prepare for a career in Data Science or Machine Learning/AI Specialization. I have always taken pride in my voracity for learning and my tenacity to keep pushing through the uncomfortable! I am constantly seeking out new skills to gain, new concepts to deep-dive into, and new experiences where I can gain a better understanding of myself and my peers. I've found my calling in Computer Science where there is never a shortage of new things to learn and much more experienced, smarter mentors to learn from. Clearly, I love all things new! So my passion for Machine Learning/AI feels like a natural bridge between my econometric background and my love for programming. Currently, I'm learning object-oriented programming with Java and Python, CS algorithms, data structures, and cloud web services. During my time at the University of Washington, I gained experience with the Pandas package and knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms such as gradient boosting, linear and logistic regression, KNN algorithms, Bayes algorithms, and decision trees.
