• Developed, planned, scheduled, and implemented the unit’s timber sale action plan to ensure assigned sustainable harvest levels were met. • Timber sale preparation; including general sale layout, road location, stream typing, assessing slope stability and wildlife habitat, silvicultural harvest prescriptions, ensured harvest operability and economic viability, requested and utilized specialists when appropriate, ensured legal property lines were established, acquired legal access via Road Use Permits or easements, estimated timber volumes, and conducted economic marketing analyses to optimize timber value. • Ensured that management activities adhere to all agency policies & procedures, Habitat Conservation Plan, watershed analyses, landscape plans, and forest practice laws. • Prepared and reviewed legal documents (SEPA, Forest Practice Applications, and timber sale contracts) and other internal agency documents for timber sale activities. • Conducted pre-harvest review of timber sales with other agencies, tribes, interest groups and neighbors; participated in the Timber Fish and Wildlife (TFW) process. • Utilized spatial data in ArcGis to plan long term harvest and road system needs. • Responsible for field inspections and recommendations for obtaining and granting rights of ways with both small and industrial landowners. • Administered timber sale contracts for compliance.• Achieved 100% free-to-grow status of reforested areas via timely silvicultural treatments. • Supervised a staff of 4-5 NR Specialist 1’s in daily activities while incorporating and observing agency and union administrative policies and formalities. • Served as liaison to general public regarding state land management and public use.• Responded and documented incidents of theft, vandalism, garbage dumping, and trespassing. • Communicated and worked with a variety of user and interest groups to establish a professional image and foster respectful relationships.
