Reduced flight delays related to DG by 80% thus saving the company time and revenue.• Created a procedure to have the unloaded DG shipments taken to the direct area instead of bypass totes. Shipments arrived at modules more quickly giving the specialist additional time to process and load. The procedure was approved by sort management, and implemented. As a result the number of service failures was reduced by 90%.• Observed all 20 DG sort areas and listed each person’s step by step processing methods. Compiled the information and produced one Standard Operation Procedure which significantly improved productivity and customer service.• Served as key contributor to the successful closing of the UPS Dayton, OH sort facility.
