Doug received a BS and MS in Computer Science in 1983 and 1985 respectively. After working at as a contractor for NASA's Crew and Thermal Systems and Automation and Robotics Divisions on Program Control and Robotics Research projects, Doug joined Atomic Games and was involved in the development and management of the World at War series of games published by Avalon Hill, and the Close Combat series of games, published by Microsoft and Mattel Interactive. Over his five-year tenure at Atomic, he successfully shipped eight interactive titles, of which the Close Combat series was the most successful, selling over a million units worldwide. At Atomic, as Director of Development, Doug was responsible for all operation issues; personnel management, game development process management, system architecture, system management, budget planning and tracking, and managing the testing and release process. Prior to working at DAS, Doug was the Director of Research and Development for the Game Technology Group at Applied Microsystems where his primary responsibilities included overseeing the development of console game development tools for the Nintendo Gamecube and the Microsoft Xbox. Currently Doug is employed by Dynamic Animation Systems (9 years) where he is Director of Engineering for the company and Director of Product Development for the Entertainment Division where he is responsible for managing the development team and the marketing of DAS's entertainment titles, Objective Force, Warfighter 2000, and the Virtual Interactive Combat Environment (VICE).Specialties: Planning, Execution, Delivery, and Support.
