• Managed MRO Category Spend – savings of 6% year-over-year 2011/2012.• Successfully expedited and implemented new safety projects with Choctaw-Kaul, by identifying safety product problems, identifying cost-effective safety product replacements, and item crossovers from other vendors, and worked with the national account representative to distribute replacement packages to 38 different plants nationally.• Helped create and facilitate Ariba training for PolyOne team members. Time frame was two weeks to create 66 slide deck with screen shots and four training labs: “Create and Publish an RFP”, “RFP Supplier Response and Buyer Review”, “Create and Complete Tasks for a Sourcing Project”, and “Add Auction to Sourcing Project”. We trained 45 people, in four, six hour sessions to use the Ariba system and have offered support since the training.• Working on Seven Step Sourcing Projects for Electrical and Packaging Categories. Seven Steps: Assess Opportunity, Category Analysis, Develop Sourcing Strategy, Screen Suppliers & Selection Factors, Conduct Competitive Exercises, Negotiate & Implement Agreements, Manage Supply Base. Impact of these two projects will to create new national contracts in these categories. Goal is savings of 8-10% over current spend with a deal length of three years.• Created RFP and RFI’s as part of Seven Step Sourcing Projects for Electrical and Packaging Categories.• Drove procurement and supplier initiatives by negotiating pricing terms with PolyOne national contracts to add additional spend and reduce local vendor base resulting in an 11% savings across electrical, safety, packaging, and maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) categories.• Implement best in-class procurement processes.
