I often wished one day I would study to become a doctor to save lives. My passion for computers, learning, and customizing code often distracted me from that dream. I eventually decided that I can settle by saving people's lives by protecting their information and actively searching for the malicious actors trying to steal that information.My desire to save lives still remains one of my primary drives along with supporting my family. The military opened up a doorway to the intelligence committee and I could not be more proud of the work that I have done and continue to produce while protecting others. My long-standing passion for learning and uncovering how things work has provided a solid foundation in both the Intelligence and Cyberworld.I began my career in the military as an Intelligence specialist. I quickly found myself doing everything in my power to learn as much as I could to support troops serving overseas. During my first assignment, I was fortunate to be personally selected to produce and brief tactical and operational products for the commanding general. Due to my drive to learn, I was selected twice to go overseas and lead a group of analysts conducting all-source intelligence in support of counter-terrorism operations. Overseas I had the opportunity to work with people from all around the globe and also fill a primary liaison position.At the end of my first enlistment, I realized I wanted to get back involved with computers. Specifically to defend hospital control systems from cyber-attacks. I then began my journey and was able to transition from an IA role to an active cyber threat hunting role. I enjoy being able to bridge my intelligence background to produce plain worded reports and evaluations of networks. I've supported cyber missions conducting both network and host analysis with dozens of different software and technologies on both Linux and Windows operating systems. My extensive use of tools has allowed me to identify both known and unknown cyber-attacks through all stages of the Lockheed Martin Cyber Kill Chain. Currently, I am invested in learning more about ICS environments and applying my skills to continue to follow my dream of protecting others.
