I am Dr. Ajay Kumar Gupta, an accomplished professional in the field of Ayurvedic medicine and surgery. With a strong educational foundation, I earned my B.A.M.S degree from the esteemed State Ayurvedic College and Hospital in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh in 1989, followed by a Master's degree (MS(AY)) in Shalya-Tantra (Surgery) from the Institute of Medical Sciences at Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi in 1995.My career journey began as an Assistant Professor at SDM College of Ayurveda and Hospital in Hassan, Karnataka, and later, I achieved 1st rank in the UP Public Service Commission selection, leading me to join the Government Ayurvedic College and Hospital in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh in 1997. Over the years, I've demonstrated my commitment to education and healthcare, rising through the ranks to my current position as Professor & Head of Department in the Department of Shalya Tantra at Rishikul Government Ayurvedic College and Hospital, Campus of Uttarakhand Ayurvedic University.In addition to my extensive teaching and leadership experience, I completed my Ph.D. in 2017 from Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya in Haridwar. I hold the role of Deputy Dean (Research) at Uttarakhand Ayurvedic University in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, and proudly serve as the Medical Superintendent at Rishikul Ayurvedic College Hospital in Haridwar. As a 'Board of Studies Member' in the Faculty of Ayurveda, Department of Shalya-Tantra at BHU, Varanasi, I actively contribute to the academic community.My specialization lies in 'Kshar-Sutra Therapy,' where I have expertise in treating conditions like Fistula-in-Ano, Pilonidal Sinus, and Haemorrhoids. I have a substantial research portfolio with 100+ published research papers and scientific articles in national and international journals. With over 28 years of teaching and training experience, I continue to be passionate about advancing Ayurvedic medicine and surgical practices.
