I did M.Sc. in chemistry. I did research work in the various areas mentioned below, in the lab of DRDO (Defence R & D Organization). Ph.D. (in chemistry) entitled “Electrochemical Immunosensors Using nanomaterials” has been awarded to me in February, 2013. I have done research work in the fields/areas of Biosensors/Immunosensors, immobilization of bio-molecules, nanomaterials synthesis and functionalization of nanomaterials. Various study of nanomaterials like catalytic activity, SEM, atomic force microscopy, UV-Vis, IR, Raman, surface area analysis, zeta potential analysis, impedimetric analysis, Adsorption study, synergistic effect study were done. I studied shelf life of bio-molecules and tried to enhance shelf life of bio-molecules by using antifungal agent such as sodium azide and some biocompatible materials such as chitosan and biocompatible nanomaterials. Various electrodes such as screen printed electrode, glassy carbon electrode, gold electrode, MWCNT-paste electrode etc. were prepared and modified by means of nanomaterials and then used them for electrochemical detection of biological species and real human patient serum samples. I did organic synthesis, synthesis of carbon inks, purification and estimation.
