I am working on “Socio-Technical Transitions (STT) and Sustainable Development in Automobile Sector: A Study of Electric Vehicles Innovation.” Low-carbon transformations are long-range multistage processes. Although the included assessment models have many merits for examining such changes, their logical depiction requires rearranging the causes, elements, and extent of such cultural changes. It proposes socio-technical analysis investigation and practice-based action research. This research focuses on electric vehicle systems. Since car-based mobility is predominant in developed countries, the transition to sustainable transport cannot avoid taking into account auto-mobility. However, the research also looks at transportation modes such as buses, trains, and taxis, which may interact with automobile mobility systems to reduce car-based mobility. Bio: My name is Dr. Rajiv Kumar, and I am a post-doctoral fellow from Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, New Delhi, India. I am fascinated by the complex relationship between science, technology, and studies, technology, and society in our contemporary lives. In our technological culture of innovation, we often accept technology as a tool that makes our lives convenient and enjoyable. But such an instrumental approach often ignores the complex social, cultural, and political aspects that are intertwined in creating artworks or arrangements. From 2020 onwards, I am interested in the systematic constitution of urban automobile system infrastructure and the politics expressed through our huge footprint in cities. I have been particularly interested in the political expression of urban infrastructure in Indian cities. I have done MPhil in “Challenges and Prospects of Innovation in Indian Automobile Industry” and Ph.D. in “Changing Profile of Automobile Innovation System in India” in Science Society and Development, Center for Study in Science, Technology and Innovation Policy from the Central University of Gujarat. My research interests include science, technology and innovation, urban and rural transport infrastructure, electric vehicles, R&D and socio-economic change, public policy, and sustainable development. ‘Local for Vocal and Make in India’. He has worked with the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) and the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti.RegardsDr. Rajiv Kumar

How it will address knowledge necessities of various policymakers (International, national and local), connect with cost-viability, socio-political possibility, social acceptance, rule, and adaptability. It will also explore how ‘mobility as a service can evolve and affect public transport.
