About Anthony Kwan

Dr Anthony Kwan is a Brisbane based academic ophthalmologist (medical eye doctor) who extends his expertise to patients in the Gold Coast and northern NSW via clinics at Southport and Coolangatta. He specialises in retina and macula diseases e.g. age related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy (eye disease in diabetes mellitus), retinal detachment. He performs cataract operations and vitrectomy operations for e.g. retinal detachment, macular hole, and epiretinal membrane (macular pucker, cellophane maculopathy) privately at South Bank Day Hospital (South Bank), Queensland Eye Hospital (Spring Hill), Pacific Day Surgery Hospital (Southport), John Flynn Hospital (Tugan), and Mater Adult Hospital (Brisbane). He was also the chairperson for the Australian and New Zealand Society of Retinal Specialists (ANZSRS) between 2013 and 2016. He is currently a member of the Vision Academy.
