I deliver primary care to ambulatory patients 18 and over and also attend to a small panel of nursing home residents. From 2006 -2014, I provided inpatient care for all my hospitalized patients as well as inpatient call coverage for the hospital. Practicing in a rural area with few local specialists, I am challenged to extend my scope of medical knowledge, particularly in cardiology, pulmonology, endocrinology, rheumatology, and infectious disease. Charting with the Epic electronic medical record since 2017. Clinical interests include:- Functional medicine: I completed all of the Institute of Functional Medicine advance practice modules, and incorporate the basics of functional medicine into my primary care practice.Nutrition and supplements- Tick borne illnesses: I practice in an area where Lyme disease is endemic.

Responsible for all aspects of medical care for over 200 crew throughout the first world voyage of the Picton Castle, a traditional square-rigged sailing ship. Assessed and treated all injuries and illnesses aboard, researched and administered immunizations for the crew, and outfitted the ship with medical supplies. Conducted clinics ashore on remote islands in the tropics.
