Public Health Analyst at the Health Resources and Services Administration, serving in the Genetic Services Branch of the Maternal and Child Health Bureau, Division of Services for Children with Special Health Needs (DSCSHN). I serve as a Project Officer working on the National Newborn Screening Portfolio and provide project support for the Genetic Services Branch. I am a resource for the Division on Family Engagement.

Worked with the Hematology/Oncology Department at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC on various projects for children with sickle cell disease and their families. The Newborn Screening Sickle Cell Trait Follow-up Program via the Sickle Cell Disease Newborn Screening and the Sickle Cell Disease Treatment Demonstration Projects, supported by the Health Resources and Services Administration. Sickle Cell Disease Decision Aid and Mobile Directly Observed Therapy projects supported by the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute.

Founder of the Pittsburgh-based Children’s Sickle Cell Foundation, Inc., a non-profit, community based organization whose mission is to provide quality program for children with sickle cell disease and their families to help them face the educational, social and economic challenges caused by the disease. The commitment to advocacy on every level, community education, awareness and support for research are natural extensions of the mission. CSCF, Inc. is a leader in the community and corporate education for sickle cell disease (SCD) and sickle cell trait (SCT) and is making the largest impact in the community through collaboration with Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC and other partners in the region.
