My responsibilities as a tutor at UWEC's academic skill center focused on scaffolding difficult concepts for individuals so they could understand what they previously had difficulty grasping. A wide array of literacy strategies were required in tutoring students, where I excelled. I tutored in economics, reading and study skills (RSS), time management, and personal management.

Telling students about different events and opportunities that the university was offering was another primary role within this position. More generally, I was an older student that modeled what it would take to be successful at college.
