Drew Kaplan is currently a 1L at the University of Texas School of Law. He graduated from the University of Miami's Frost School of Music with a Bachelors of Music in Music Business & Entertainment Industries, and a minor in Political Economics. Drew is interested in entertainment and copyright law, and aims to blend his musical knowledge and legal background to support artists and creators in an ever-evolving music industry.During his time at the Frost School of Music, Drew played in over a dozen ensembles and was a member of the Jazz Bass Studio. His highlights include playing both electric and upright bass for the award-winning Jazz Vocal 1 ensemble, as well as the R&B, Birth of the Cool, Funk/Fusion, Bass Desires, and Brecker Brothers ensembles. Drew served as Director of Business Affairs and Vice President of Cat5 Music, the school's student-run music marketing and publishing enterprise. Outside of class, he performed around Miami with his band, Full Disclosure, gaining practical experience within the live entertainment industry from a performer's perspective.In his free time he enjoys working out and skateboarding.
