I work with companies to bring their new product ideas to life while streamlining processes along the way. My role allows me to focus on two of my favorite skills: coming up with creative ideas to bring to market, and figuring out the most efficient way to complete a task. I've participated and led in the launch of over 500 products during my career, and presented at conferences both domestically and internationally on both CAD design and CPQ automation projects. After finishing my engineering degree, I began working in a startup environment, so I've been in leadership positions and building product teams my entire career. My passion is recruiting and developing amazing product teams that love utilizing design thinking to come up with great ideas, and later seeing those same ideas turn into reality as much as I do. I mostly work with physical, manufactured products. It’s so cool to be able to touch and see a finished product that was once just a sketch on a napkin. However, I also dabble in digital. I started writing code in 7th grade, programming "tic-tac-toe" and "hangman" style games on a TI-83 graphing calculator while bored sitting in math class. Nowadays, I write python scripts to perform ETL projects, SQL queries to pull data on product performance, javascript and VBA code to automate Configure, Price, Quote processes and generate dynamic reports and documents. I've deployed some small data apps through Amazon Web Services (AWS), and done a handful of basic machine learning projects using Scikit-learn and Tensorflow. My favorite software projects to work on are CPQ implementations. I've led two.I've collected a bunch of certifications, as well. I'm a PMP certified Project Manager, Certified Scrum Master CSM in Agile Methodologies, CSWE Certified SolidWorks Expert in CAD, and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt LSSGB in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement. Currently, I'm attending Northwestern University's MPD² Master of Product Design and Development Management program, which takes the traditional Kellogg MBA and combines it with courses devoted to product design and development.
