John Brothers currently serves as the President of the T. Rowe Price Foundation and President of T. Rowe Price Charitable, with $750M in combined assets. Dr. Brothers comes to T. Rowe Price from Quidoo, an international consulting firm he started and led for over a decade, merging the firm in 2015.. During Dr. Brothers' tenure at T. Rowe Price, he is responsible for leading a long list of innovative and influential efforts including the creation of the Elevation Awards, DesignFest, Civic Innovators, Moonshot, One Book and Artist Navigators, among many others. Dr. Brothers has served in lead roles toward the creation of nationally recognized efforts like the Baltimore Children and Youth Fund and the Baltimore Squeegee Collaborative. Under his leadership, T. Rowe Price has become widely recognized as a global leader in several areas including trust-based philanthropy, partnerships, impact and evaluation, and building authentic relationships in local communities. He has deep experience in the areas of youth development, the arts and service delivery into low-income communities. Prior to T. Rowe Price, Dr. Brothers served as a management and social policy professor at NYU and Rutgers and as a Visiting Fellow at the Hauser Center at Harvard. He's currently an Honorary Professor of Practice at Queens University in Belfast and assisted in the development of the China Global Philanthropy Institute in Beijing. Dr. Brothers has done work in nearly 50 countries and in all fifty states. Dr. Brothers has been a writer with the SSIR, Nonprofit Quarterly and the Huffington Post and is an author of several books, including a book to be released in 2025. He has been interviewed, referenced or quoted in 100's of local, national and international media outlets including the New York Times, Washington Post, Newsweek, ABC News and the Wall Street Journal. Dr. Brothers has spoken to tens of thousands on nonprofit and philanthropic effectiveness.Dr. Brothers began his work serving in the local community, inspired by growing up in deep poverty, serving as a community organizer and case manager in neighborhoods in the Midwest to leadership positions, including CEO, with local and national organizations on the East Coast.
