About Kieran Mcleod

I'm a South African medical doctor with a passion for healthcare, behavioural science and technology. My clinical experience is primarily in emergency medicine and COVID-19 care, but since 2020 I have immersed myself in digital health, working with both non-profits and start ups, as well as founding and building my own digital health start up, ByeGwaai, a mobile-app based smoking cessation program.I believe technology will play a fundamental role in addressing inequalities in both South Africa's healthcare system and those around the world. A smooth transition to a value-based care model will require both brains and bandwidth as well as cross-collaboration between departments and domains across industries will be essential to a successful transition.I have a passion for learning, sharing ideas and solving problems in the world of digital health.
