I manage and ensure quality implementation of the SAILS math program across the state of TN. We will serve 184 high schools and 13,636 students for the 2014-2015 school year. This project was started by and is the vision of my mentor and friend John Squires of Chattanooga State. It is truly changing a lot in higher education in terms of college readiness and reversing statistics on incoming freshmen requiring remediation. Currently I am working with Dr. Robert Denn of Chattanooga State and Mike Krause from Governor Haslam's office, his Drive to 55 initiative, and the Tennessee Promise project. It's a very exciting time for education in our great state and I am very grateful for my opportunity to be a part of this project!

I helped manage quality implementation of the growing SAILS math program across the state of TN. We served 118 high schools with all 13 TBR community colleges and roughly 8,500 students. I also trained and managed the 15 Field Coordinators who are performing the same job I did last year, but on a larger scale. We had an overall success rate of 66% with this 2013-2014 program. We have great plans for improving results as this grows even more.

I helped manage quality implementation of the budding SAILS program at 10 Chattanooga State Community College service region high schools with 200 students. We wound up finishing the year with an 83% success rate. This program was started by John Squires, Mathematics Dept. Head at Chattanooga State and Deb Weiss at Red Bank High School during the spring term of 2012.

I taught Algebra II and tried showing the students applicable life skills.

I taught 7th grade math and coached soccer. This was the perfect place to start my career in education. Wonderful coworkers and supportive administration. I miss that school!
