Communication➤ Primary author on two successful grant applications.➤ Consulting editor on three additional successful grant applications.➤ Selected to represent the university at recruiting pitches.➤ Selected to represent the lab at research showcases.Technical Research Skills➤ Molecular biology: sequencing, cloning, generating knockouts/expression strains, RT-qPCR.➤ Animal models of disease: tissue cytokine & flow cytometric analysis, histopathology, bacterial burden etc.➤ Flow cytometry: various advanced applications, up to 8 colors.➤ Metabolomics & lipidomics: LC-MS/MS and NMR analysis.➤ Bioinformatics: use of command line tools and basic python coding.➤ Tissue culture: human and mouse primary cells and cell lines including macrophages, monocytes, hepatocytes & neurons. ➤ Microscopy: confocal fluorescence microscopy, transmission and scanning electron microscopy.➤ Bacteriology: bacterial culture, MIC and sensitivity assays, transposon library screening. ➤ Biosafety: Experience working at A/BSL3 and extensive experience at A/BSL2.
