Mr. Salinas is currently a Sr. Associate for a behavioral health consulting firm. Mr. Salinas also provides services as an independent public health and evaluation consultant. Areas of expertise include study design, program evaluation, instrument development, project management, participant recruitment and retention, qualitative and quantitative data collection, report writing and dissemination of findings. He has over 18 years of clinical and social research experience combined. Mr. Salinas has been involved in privately and federally funded clinical trials ranging from traumatic orthopedic research to studies focusing on co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders in adolescents.His research work has been recognized by the National Hispanic Science Network and his leadership in the community has been recognized by the Regional Institute for Health and Environment Leadership.Some areas of research include implementation of local and statewide needs assessments with a focus on HIV prevention, treatment, and care; evaluation of sexual health education in schools; evaluation of mental health and substance abuse services needs; and evaluation of health services gaps. Research methodologies include literature reviews; instrument development; primary and secondary data collection including quantitative and qualitative data; statistical analysis; and manuscript and report writing.Mr. Salinas is available for consulting or part-time work in various areas of Public Health.
