I was part of teams responsible for building, maintaining and supporting tools for automating testing of the Android based BlackBerry PRIV, QNX OS, BlackBerry 10 and BlackBerry 7. These tools include UI automation, remote code execution libraries, resource management systems and web based reporting systems.Previous projects include* Created extensions to Android's UiAutomator library to support testing of lower level device input such as slide events and physical keystrokes.* Created remote execution protocol allowing Robot keywords on a PC to execute Android Java code on a device.* Created Robot Framework keyword library to automatically detect important testing events and activate callback-like keywords supplied by the user* Updated various automation libraries to eliminate technical debt* Created Robot Framework keyword library to transparently support automated testing of a BlackBerry device over a variety of connection media and protocols* Created and maintained coding guidelines for automation tools team* Created a batch importer to report automation results from many different automation tools in Testlink* Created a test job execution and reporting system using Electric Commander.* Created a system to load and track devices used for manual testing. Assisted fellow students in understanding course materials for C Programming, Multimedia Development and other courses. Provided an alternate perspective of previously presented material tailored to the specific needs of the student I was assisting. Taught approaches to problem solving so students could succeed without assistance in the future.

Built and maintained a number of automated tests for the BlackBerry OS (4.x, 5.x and 6.x). Monitored the results of the tests to provide actionable bug reports to developers. Generated daily report on previous night's testing via in-house tool. Ensured automation lab was running smoothly. Maintained and improved existing in-house automation tools. Created new automation tools to support development and testing.
