Authentications to a Radius server with LDAP backend database. Backweb push technology, bar-coding with Loftware, Filenet document management. Project tools included MS Project, MS Office, and MS Visio.Project Manager for a review of messaging platforms. Evaluated both Lotus Notes and Microsoft Exchange. Led implementation of Lotus Notes version 6 at all North American O-I locations. Set up on IBM iSeries. Set up EMC SAN array for storage with Tivoli Backup System.Oversaw testing of all IS hardware systems and telecom system for Y2K compliance. Worked with various departments, assisting with upgrades or system replacement. Replaced all non-Y2K compliant telecom systems with Avaya Definity G3s. Set up equipment and procedures for engineers to videoconference to any global O-I location in in the event of an undiscovered Y2K bug. Developed strategic five year plan for O-I's IT infrastructure, including combining voice and data networks. Plan included five-digit dialing within all O-I domestic locations as well as from cell phones, allowing wireless devices (integrated PDA & cell phones, Palm VII, etc.) to remotely connect to O-I network with a secure VPN connection (Checkpoint & Cisco).
