I am a Senior Network Engineer at NYU, where I manage a high-performance research network of 70+ switches and routers supporting data intensive sciences across the university. My focus is on building and maintaining network infrastructure for high bandwidth and low latency use cases. I have experience across all layers of networking, including planning, deployment, troubleshooting, monitoring, optimization with TCP/IP performance, BGP, EVPN-VXLAN, STP, network resiliency, L1 and optics, DWDM and OTN. Some key projects I've completed:- Implemented end-to-end network management infrastructure via Kubernetes orchestration- Architected and implemented monitoring solutions for networking with Grafana, Telegraf, Prometheus, Elastic Stack, Logstash, PerfSONAR- Transitioned entire network from SNMP to gNMI / REST API monitoring- Architected and deployed high performance Zeek clusters with XDP, PF_RING, Prometheus- Developed machine learning based network intrusion detection system leveraging unsupervised autoencoders for real-time scoring and alerting of potential network intrusions- Architected infrastructure-as-code solution for network configurations defined in YAML, rendered via Jinja2 templates and automate deployment via Ansible. Created CI/CD pipelines to validate rendered configurations with Batfish before deployment to production- Creating digital twins of networks via Containerlab, Clabernetes (Kubernetes)- Advocating and creation of user-facing documentation- Development of applications for computational steering leveraging the low latency network in various research domains using Python, C++I am also a graduate student studying Cybersecurity (Expected May 2025). My thesis focuses on machine learning driven network intrusion detection in high performance networks.
