Upward Bound is designed to encourage high school students to attend college and make sure they are more than proficient in the core academic areas in their schools.

The objective of the grant is to curb the trend of students who want to drop out of school once they are suspended, and help them academically, while also servicing the school by having the at risk students at an off campus location.
