Duane serves as the Vice President of Value & Access Regional Accounts at Boehringer Ingelheim Human Pharmaceutical Business Unit. He is currently responsible for Health System Key Account Strategy, Marketing Strategy and Regional Payors Accounts teams in North America with a focus on driving the commercial innovation needed to have a transformational impact on patient health.Previously he was the Vice President of Health Systems & Program Management Office at Boehringer Ingelheim Human Pharmaceutical Business Unit. He led Marketing Strategy and Commercial delivery within Integrated Delivery Network Account teams and Key Strategic Projects. Prior to this role he was the Vice President of Human Pharma Operations at Boehringer Ingelheim which led teams that included MLR Operations, Medical Operations, Training, PMO, Sales Force Effectiveness, Incentives and Compensation, and Commercial Solutions. Prior to his Commercial Leadership with BI, he held roles at AstraZeneca in Global Marketing which served key markets in the EU, Middle East and Africa, Japan, China, Latin and North America. Duane was also responsible for the development of the Global Portfolio Strategy, Creative Development and Commercialization of the injectable franchise. During his tenure at AstraZeneca he held roles in Oncology Marketing Operations, Sales Leadership, and CNS HCP Brand Marketing responsible for the full P&L. Early in Duane’s career at AstraZeneca, he was instrumental in the launch and commercial success of Nexium and Seroquel which both became 4+ billion dollars brands and best-selling medicines.
