I am seeking a public relations/marketing, advertising, or communications-based entry level position with a well-established and highly respected company or organization. I believe my professional experience working in a news room, in sales, at a major university's communications department, and in a corporate atmosphere renders me a well-rounded and desirable candidate for a position in the above listed fields. I have first-hand experience creating and executing a public relations campaign, working with the American Red Cross on a promotional event called "Pain in the Alleghenies." I have also written a full-length screenplay and received correspondence and critiques from a Hollywood producer. I have designed promotional flyers; written public service announcements; created quotes for high-priority donors at St. Bonaventure University to be used in newspapers across the country; written thank you letters for the president of St. Bonaventure University; networked through local media, business, and alumni connections; and crafted a 45-page thesis on biased portrayals of the Western and Middle Eastern cultures in each's media outlets. It is my goal to obtain a position that allows me to work in public relations and government, with a focus on foreign policy.
