Between March of 2020 and a few months my usual work of live sound for events disappeared due to the pandemic. During this time I was involved as an A1 for a number of videos, live streams, virtual events, etc. These jobs included work for PRG, TC Furlong, Old Town School of Folk Music and the City of Chicago. I have worked regularly in houses of worship as well, including Temple Sholom in Chicago and Pastor Smoky Norful's Victory Cathedral Worship Center in Bollingbrook IL.

I have worked for over 20 years in corporate event production, mostly in audio. I have been responsible for audio for every type of production from conferences, to conventions, trade shows at venues like McCormick Place, parties, galas and other events in places like the Field Museum, The Chicago Cultural Center and many other locations. I have also traveled extensively for corporate work including gigs in Miami, Houston, Milwaukee and other locations.In post Covid times I have been involved with many virtual and hybrid events.Some skills I use regularly in the corporate realm:1. Design and implementation of sound systems from stage to speaker and everything in between.2. Planning and emailing with clients while we plan their ideal event. Also working with co-workers to make events happen on time and under budget.3. Coordination of wireless mics, for the entire site.4. Use of all major digital consoles, networking and system design. Setup and troubleshooting ofcommunications gear, wired as well as wireless.5. Running sound, including lavaliers and lectern mics, use of auto-mixers where appropriate,playing sound cues like walk-ons and walk-offs.6. Making sure the client is as happy as possible.7. Working knowledge of video systems and lighting. Use of Powerpoint and similar programsregularly.8. I toured with bands as a sound engineer and tour manager on and off since 2007.As a tour manager I dealt with all aspects of a band's business on the road from advance to the last flight home. My first tour in the States with Femi Kuti and his fantastic band was in June and July of 2022. 31 dates over 43 days with only one real day off (no travel.) 13 wonderful musicians and I. Two flights, so three different busses. Three border crossings. 30,244 miles traveled according to Master Tour.We played the Hollywood Bowl, Pritzker Pavillion, The Mann Center, the 9:30 club and many other great venues. Not to mention festivals like Bonnaroo and Electric Forest.In September and October of 2022 we went to Europe for three weeks. We traveled by nightliner and hit many clubs, a few festivals and best of all a show at the Philharmoie de Paris.
