Taught four sections of public speaking for 70 total students, including transitioning to Zoom instruction due to COVID-19. Facilitated conversations and a final exam about how students would use public speaking skills within their careers. Graded various assignments for four different communication courses. Collected and analyzed qualitative and quantitative data for multiple faculty projects and my thesis research on toxic and non-toxic work environments.

Spearheaded the first three years of TWC’s collaboration with the Naval Research Laboratory's (NRL) HBCU/MSI summer internship program. This inaugural role involved building rapport with NRL stakeholders, coordinating in-person and remote recruitment, overseeing the selection process, creating educational programming, and managing program expenses.

Advised 100+ federal interns via internship site visits, one-on-one and small group meetings, and feedback on career enrichment assignments (e.g., professional reflections, federal resumes, and informational interviews). Arranged professional development sessions for Washington Center interns, including public speaking and LinkedIn/online branding workshops.

Collaborated with federal agencies to match applicants with available internships. Coached students on how to create competitive applications, and advised students on decisions if they had been referred to more than one program. Researched and arranged regional housing for 40+ federal interns, staying below our department's $211,000 summer housing budget.

Recruited for the State Department's Pickering Fellowship via presentations, phone calls, emails to national associations like the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, and meetings with students, staff, and faculty at minority-serving institutions. These efforts contributed to 580+ college students applying to the 2016 fellowship cohort.

Fostered collaboration between the Kogod School of Business and the undergraduate admissions staff to expand Kogod outreach. Supervised 22 student ambassadors who assisted with recruitment events and took campus visitors on tours. Planned recruitment events (e.g., open house days) for upward of 300 prospective students.

Analyzed Talisma CRM data to track KPIs and create effective email, phone, and visit strategies for my assigned recruitment territory, supporting the university’s goal of increasing enrollment by 5,000 students. Presented approximately 150 university information sessions per year during high school visits, college fairs, and on-campus events.

Cultivated an inclusive living environment on a floor of 60+ male residents and in a building of 400+ diverse students. Planned, advertised, and hosted 25+ social and educational activities per year. Supervised floor and building student government groups. Mediated resident conflicts and enforced university housing policies.

Created service-learning lesson plans. Instructed seven teaching assistants on their roles for a freshman leadership and civic engagement course. Organized major volunteer projects with over 10 community partners - projects included planning a prom for older adults, distributing food to people experiencing homelessness, and gathering donations for a domestic abuse shelter.

Performed improvised skits that taught parents about campus resources that their freshman students could use to overcome college challenges (e.g., roommate conflicts, peer pressure to drink, or not living a balanced life). Led 22 campus tours throughout the summer for both parents and students. Partnered with academic advisors to help new students enroll in classes.
