In the span of 3 years, I was a key collaborator in growing the product from $30M/yr to $100M+/yr worth of ad impressions delivered. - Bootstrapped the integration with over a dozen ad exchanges in less than 2 months by identifying the best possible abstraction, Beeswax, and developing all key data flows. - PoC'd first version of our real time bidder on a QPS of ~200k with an average response time of 20ms. - Developed the business traffic identification and shape systems on top of +20B events per day. - Designed and implemented the B2B targeted segment generation pipelines. - In collaboration with our data scientists, implemented the optimization systems achieving best in class CTR, CPC, and other conversion KPIs. - Created a campaign delivery forecasting system to allow sales teams to properly size deals and consumers to properly assign campaign budgets.

Lead engineer for the new Demandbase self-serve ABM platform. Designed the new application architecture, collaborated in product definition, and managed the team of engineers which owned the platform foundation and analytics service. - Designed and implemented the new analytics service architecture using Kinesis, RedShift, and Athena to ingest and ETL hundreds of millions of events per day, and coupled it with Druid to surface metrics over billions of events in miliseconds.- Refactored the company identification service to improve performance and availability; shaved off 20ms (30%) from the average internal response time while halving infrastructure requirements. - Mentored engineers by reviewing pull requests, doing pair programming, teaching best engineering practices and identifying tasks that better contributed to their skill growth.

Primary engineer for the platform team implementing features for the Demandbase company identification service and data ingestion pipeline, and the lead engineer for the reporting platform.- Implemented features and optimizations for the company identification service, an API with a peak 200 million requests per day. - Maintained and implemented new features in the data ETL pipeline, Hadoop Hive.- Implemented reports over big data scale aggregates using a combination of background jobs and AWS RedShift.- Improved performance of the report service by developing a lazy cache framework with an event driven cache invalidation mechanism; multiple micro-services subscribed to a pub-sub system.

Primary engineer for the Ad Operations team; took full ownership of the advertising application, and all integrations between Demandbase and their RTB partner, IPONWEB. - Implemented multiple end-to-end features in the advertising application to support new integrations and features made available by the RTB platform.- Integrated with Google’s ADX Buyer REST API and the IPONWEB RTB’s analytics services to generate scheduled reports and alerts.- Lead the development of the extended company targeting reporting feature. Architected and implemented changes across every layer of our stack; data capture and ETL coupled with web services to report on aggregates.

Member of the development team of a vast array of award-winning solutions for Telligent Community, an extensible and highly customizable social network platform built on the Microsoft web development stack.- Created multiple tier solutions and customizations for the Telligent Community platform from end to end; designed and implemented the database schema, models, services, extensibility end points, and UI widgets.- Developed a client side DOM manipulation library and UI to edit the custom widget layout and configurations.- Upgraded a Visual Studio extension to add syntax highlighting for the Velocity template language and ease the work of the design team.

The web application was built on ASP.NET MVC.- Designed the user and clans (groups) system and developed a REST API on top to allow third parties to interact with our data.- Implemented an activity stream rich in functionality to engage users and record their interactions.- Wrote the integration with multiple web services to enhance the user experience by providing features such as game analytics, content embedding, and data import.- Developed the image upload client and gallery services; backed by Rackspace's CDN.- Designed a clustering algorithm for geo-location based user matchmaking and employed the Google Maps JavaScript API to implement a companion UI.- Built the framework for real-time messages and updates using a third party server push solution.
