With over a decade of nursing experience, I now combine my education as an Advanced Practice Nurse with skills I have learned as a nurse in a variety of settings to provide holistic and compassionate care to folks with reproductive and mental healthcare needs across the lifespan. I have a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Midwifery, and further postgraduate training in Women's Health. I have complimentary training in Non Linear Movement Method (somatic method) and Women’s Functional & Integrative Medicine, and I am currently working towards completion of a postgraduate degree as a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. My past work experience as a Registered Nurse and APRN has given me valuable skills related to direct patient care in both acute care and preventive care environments. Over the years I have learned that building strong patient relationships through collaboration & patient centered evidence based approaches are cornerstones to achieving wellness and better outcomes. My core competencies include delivering high quality culturally sensitive care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, advocating for women's health and wellness, and championing mental healthcare within special populations. I am passionate about improving the quality of life and health outcomes for women, new parents across the gender spectrum, and infants, and I am always eager to learn new skills and best practices in my field. I value inclusion, equitable access to resources, and respect, and I strive to bring these same values to my work every day.
