Project One: Miami-Dade County AirportLink Metrorail Extension Project is a 2.4-mile extension of Metrorail that will run from the existing Earlington Heights station to the Miami Intermodal Center (MIC), now under construction next to Miami International Airport (MIA).Scheduled to open in April 2012, the AirportLink is considered the centerpiece of the People's Transportation Plan (PTP) , approved by Miami-Dade voters in 2002. The bulk of the funding for the $526 million project will come from the PTP half-penny tax, with the Florida Department of Transportation contributing $100 million.The AirportLink will provide a fast, reliable Metrorail connection to MIA for the millions of residents, visitors and employees who travel to and from MIA every year. With this project, Miami-Dade County joins the ranks of major metropolitan areas around the world with rapid transit connections to their airports.

Project One: Project Scheduler & Planner for New Jersey Transit $8.7 billion rail tunnel that will double the capacity to transport passengers between New Jersey and New York when completed in 2017.Construction of the Mass Transit Tunnel, also known as the ARC Tunnel, is one of the biggest transportation projects in the nation that will cut down vehicular traffic and create 6,000 construction jobs and another 45,000 jobs when finished.The rest of the funding will be split between New Jersey and the Port Authority.The Project Consist of Nine miles of track, the ARC Tunnel will connect rail yards in Kearny to 34th Street in Manhattan.The new tunnel will speed the commute between New Jersey and New York by increasing the number of NJ Transit passenger trains passing under the river during peak rush hour from 23 to 48.NJ Transit currently has only one two-rail tunnel, which it shares with Amtrak. The Path system, which operates commuter trains for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, has two rail tunnels, each with two rails.The new tunnel will add two more rail lines.Project Two: Project Scheduler & Planner for Immense and vital $7.3 billion project for the MTA and the people who ride the NY subways, the East Side Access (ESA) will connect the LI Railroad's Main and Port Washington lines in Queens to a new terminal beneath Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan. When completed (scheduled for 2013), the ESA will increase the LIRR's capacity to provide service into Manhattan, greatly reduce travel time for LI commuters, and provide a new rail station in Sunnyside, Queens.

Project Controls Manager for a $18 billion-dollar project designed to increase green energy supplies for Southern California Edison’s 13 million customers. The project includes 230 miles of 500-kv transmission line that will carry power from west of Phoenix to just north of Palm Springs, Calif., with an additional 40-mile line connecting two substations. The Tehachapi project, a second, 80-mile of 220 kV and 500 kV transmission line, will bring planned wind mill farm power generated within the state to consumers.Working with the project team to create and maintain project network schedules, prepared schedule. Updated and tracked all aspect of the projects with the use of Primavera Expedition/Contract Manager v12 and P6.1. Duties included interfacing with project personnel for creation, status, and maintenance of integrated project network schedules; status and maintenance of various other schedules and databases; and preparation of performance reports.

Through Simpson & Simpson Management Consulting Inc., I was Senior Scheduler for LAUSD Region 2 Project Cost Controls Program which comprised of multiple bond programs totaled more than $310M. Worked under the centralized Program Controls Group assigned to manage and perform the financial reconciliation of projects ready to be finalized and submit program savings through BMR/PRBL transaction. Analyze individual project’s budget balances for savings/deficit. Perform monthly reconciliation on assigned bond programs. Other responsibilities include working with Project Development Dept in creating new project budget & schedule. Coordinate with Construction Dept & Budget Unit in closing out projects. Provide weekly status reporting. Continually monitor progress to effectively & efficiently execute financial transactions.
