As Division Manager at Northern Trust managed the Network Strategy Group, Provisioning Group and most recently Network Applications Engineering Team of 8 - focusing on architecture, growth and lifecycle of the Global Security Infrastructure across 6 data centers servicing 120 locations. Through management and oversight of the $20M Network Services expense budget the annual run rate has been reduced by $2M over the last 5 years.

Responsible for creating strategy and processes to develop a highly proactive communications environment. Developed a network capacity monitoring and planning strategy to ensure availability and capacity for all current and future business applications. Led implementation of capacity planning process that included identifying ownership of tools and processes as well as auditing and completing the implementation.

Responsible for engineering, operations, and strategic planning for the Wrigley Global Wide Area Network. The network serves 142 sites over 88 countries. Primary accountabilities included all network connectivity associated with the single global data center serving all mission critical applications. Responsible for support, direction, contract management and consulting to the global infrastructure support organizations to three global regions.

Developed Retail Site Hub Architecture to provide access via multiple connectivity options (ISDN, DSL, Satellite, other) to over 7000 retail sites providing capacity and performance options on a scalable basis. Recommended the implementation of the RSA HUB providing flexible non-proprietary connectivity options. Led the design, vendor review and selection of “Next Generation” satellite technology for 700 sites providing enhanced performance capabilities at a reduced price point.

Led a team of eight - Investigated, tested, piloted and implemented a Webcasting solution. This technology enabled corporate leaders from the CEO down to deliver near real time video communication on important issues including mergers, acquisitions and organizational changes to the targeted audience in a consistent and personal manner.
