Enabling sustainability through agriculture for future generations of farmers is a top priority for me. I am the Co-Founder of Driftless Seed Supply and an organic farmer, growing vegetable and flower seeds in the heart of the Midwest's Driftless Region. Driven by a passion for preserving biodiversity and developing regionally-adapted seed, I focus on heirloom and open-pollinated varieties, ensuring that our seeds meet the highest standards of vitality. At Driftless Seed Supply, we're committed to educating and empowering our community, sharing knowledge and resources to foster a more sustainable and resilient food system.Previously, as a researcher specialist at UW–Madison, I have worked on cutting-edge research to understand and develop environmentally sustainable methods of farming, such as reduced tillage vegetable production. I have worked with Wisconsin farmers coordinating trials on farms and on agricultural research stations, as well as assisting other young farmers as they transition to organic production. As co-owner of Circadian Organics, a certified organic fresh market vegetable and vegetable seed farm, I keep my perspective grounded in the realities of production. Past experience in cofounding and leading SeedLinked, a platform for specialty crop stakeholders to share and make data-driven decisions, particularly for vegetables. Growers can find varieties reviewed by other growers, buy seed from multiple companies, and track their plantings. Seed companies can get novel insights into market dynamics, trial varieties for 12x cheaper, and expand their market at a fraction of the cost of alternatives.
