My vision and hope is that technology and innovation bring about the democratization of resources and opportunities, and removal of friction, enabling even those less privileged to be able to participate in a global marketplace. As a result, I am interested in emerging technologies, not just as an intellectual or profit-driven exercise, but to improve lives, help others and create a lasting impact on the world. As of late, I have immersed myself in studying about blockchains and Ethereum, among other things. I am passionate about them because of the benefits currently provided and those they will offer in the future. These include the transparency brought to financial transactions, the removal of unnecessary middlemen, and the inherent decentralization and potential to reinvent a number of areas and industries. Furthermore, I'm excited about blockchain technology's potential to transform developing regions and bring those previously excluded from the global economy into the fold. I am self-motivated, ambitious and driven. These traits enabled me to fulfill a 15+ year-long competitive soccer career. It took hard work and dedication to earn athletic awards, eventually leading to a starting position as a freshman at the University of Mary Washington. My collegiate playing days are over, but the discipline from my soccer career is now allowing me to apply myself with equal determination to succeed as a budding professional and global citizen.
