I am a full stack engineer transitioning from the Air force. I'm a graduate of Galvanize's Full Stack Software Development bootcamp. This gave me 650 hours of instruction in sotware development with a focus on PostGresQL, Express, React, and NodeJS. Additionally, the course was conducted using Agile methodology, primarily Scrum. All in all, factoring in project-time during the course, I've accrued 1000 hours of hands-on coding with agile teams to deliver streamlined products.My entire life has been influenced by tech. Despite recent smart-phone, internet, and AI advancements changing the way technology integrates with our daily lives, I'd say it's been a driving force for me since well before modern technology. I remember how our games brought my siblings and I together, and how I always thought I'd one day make a game of my own. When I heard about Galvanize and the programm they offer, I remembered that dream and saw my first chance to make it a reality. As I've learned more and more I've realized that beyond that nostalgia, there's even more that draws me to software development. I love programming, and the feeling of success when a particularly difficult feature finally works. When I implement a new skill and see my app come together, I know that I was made to do this.My goal is to make technologies that are accessible to everyone. As an inflight refueler, I've gained a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving and a strict policy for safety and precision.
