My main duty in my new role was to lead localisation testing teams on several AAA titles, making sure that the localisation testers effectively cover all the text in-game. They would be responsible for reporting any issues found in game, through the means of text changes and bug reports in a bug database. I would monitor all changes that need to be made and make decisions on any problems that came up during testing. I would be responsibly for contacting the client directly with regards to the running of the project, which involved sharing progress reports and to help solve any problems that occur during testing.I would also be involved with the recruitment process at the company, going through CV’s and choosing the correct applicants to interview. I would be part of the interview process and help choose the staff for any project we have coming in.

I was scouted to work at Pole To Europe in order to help establish the company and become one of the main core team members to help start the company. I was responsible for creating training documents and other work related documents to help with the running of the Localisation QA department. I lead AAA titles, looking after a team of localisation testers and was responsible for downloading and running builds, organising daily tasks, such as linguistic testing, regression and linguistic compliance testing. At the same time I proofread and localise the English text in games and e-manuals. I would check the text and make sure the content, such as the punctuation and grammar are correct while also checking to make sure the text is displayed correctly in game or in the e-manual. I am also the lead person for setting up the Functional QA department of the company.Other tasks and responsibilities include monitoring punctuality and general well-being of tester team, maintaining and tracking all consoles and other equipment, communication with clients, internal communications and research, First Aid.

I had to complete smoke tests for new builds each morning and then report the results to the QA Lead. We would then regress the bugs that were fixed, along with finding and reporting new bugs into the database. I would be responsible for filling in excel sheets, downloading and installing builds onto the relevant console and communicating with the QA Lead and Manager to report the status of the sections I had completed during the smoke test. If any problems arise, we would be given specific tasks by the QA Lead to accomplish.

I had been working once a month as a TV Presenter for a television program called "Y Lle - Feiral", that was televised on S4C. The program covered all the viral occurrences each month. My role was to present the show as part of a team of four presenters. One show was broadcasted live, and the others were pre-recorded. My experiences have resulted in gaining confidence in front of the camera and improving my ability to remember scripts and facts in order to address to the camera.

As a QA Lead Tester I was responsible for handing out work to the QA Testers and making sure they worked as efficiently as possible. I would also download any new builds that are made, and then burn them onto discs to give to the QA testers. When the testers are working on a build, they would write bug reports that I had to verify, and then forward them on to the relevant person using the database.

I worked at TT Games as a Quality Assurance Tester. My role was to test computer games and try to find mistakes in the game or suggest ways of improving the game. Once I found a problem I would insert a bug report into their database so that the programmers can fix the problem. We would receive tasks from the QA Lead Testers and make sure we complete the tasks. Some of the tasks included general testing, regression and completing playthroughs.

I have had two different roles within "Rownd a Rownd" in the 4 years that I worked there. For the first 2 years i was a Cameraman Assistant and my duties were to move the camera from one position to another and connect the relevant cables to the camera. The picture is transmitted to the directors monitor and it was my duty to setup the monitor in a convenient place for the director. I would assist the cameraman at all times which included charging batteries and changing tapes in the camera.My second role was a “Grip”. My duty as a Grip was to place camera tracks on the floor whenever the director wanted motion shots in a scene. I also had a small jimmy jib that I would have to assemble, which is like an arm for the camera that the cameraman can then operate to move the camera from left to right and up and down. This job was very demanding, both mentally and physically as it involved lifting heavy items and having to be very careful because they are very fragile. The tasks would have to be completed due to the time restraints; therefore there was no room for mistakes.
