I am an experienced leader and fearless entrepreneur with a demonstrated history of effectively managing multiple programs. I have a B.A. in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Teaching and Learning and minor in Spanish Language. In the first decade of my career life, I worked in education as a K-3 Spanish language instructor, Office Registrar, and Lead Lifeguard/Water Safety Instructor for an all-ages program. I shifted into non-profit event management for the following four years, progressing from Program Coordinator to Marketing and Events Manager where I created and implemented programs and support teams to carry out strategic initiatives focused on expanding impact while executing roughly 20 volunteer driven events per year. At 32 years of age, after re-evaluating the direction of my life, I focused my sights on a life full of quality experiences and constructed a plan to achieve my personal interests and dreams. I moved to the mountains of central California in 2014, where I embraced a love for open spaces, rural community, the ability to respond to limited resources with critical thinking, resilience, and resourcefulness. Over the last decade, I’ve earned an EMT, Wilderness First Responder, and 500hr Register Yoga Teacher certification; traveled solo through various countries for months on end; recruited and managed resources for multiple large-scale outdoor music and athletic events; and smoothly transitioned into Emergency Management coordination for rural healthcare systems to blend my skill sets into the perfect position for someone who enthusiastically considers a well-planned calendar equal to a well-rounded life. Currently working toward a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) certification while building a seasonal outdoor yoga-centered business focused on quality of life experiences, I strive to enhance and refine my skills in project management, education and instruction, network relationship building, and program and instructional development. I am a strong operations and education professional living a life I love and loving the life I live!
