As a child, I never thought about growing up and wanting to be an engineer. I had planned several prospective careers in my youth, ranging from normal (author), to slightly more unusual (archaeologist), to I still don't understand what I was thinking (pole vaulter). Despite these changes, several things have remained constant throughout my life. One of those is a love of learning. Whether I am experimenting with the chemistry of baking, studying heat exchangers, discussing a mathematical theorem, or practicing a new sewing technique, I welcome each new piece of knowledge eagerly, and I am grateful that the world is so endlessly interesting. My interest and aptitude in math and science, along with my desire to solve problems creatively, has led me to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and I couldn't be happier! Here on campus, I am involved in UR Robotics and I have been a TA for two classes: The Engineering of Bridges and Thermodynamics. In my free time I enjoy reading, sewing, hiking, playing card games, and doing crossword puzzles. Please feel free to reach out! I am always open to new opportunities and meeting new people.
