As a self-taught programmer, I began my journey in 1980 with CBasic, driven by a passion for technology and innovation. By 1986, I had opened two computer stores in Northern California, marking the beginning of a lifelong commitment to advancing computing solutions for businesses.In 1987, I developed a pioneering 'multi-user' application tailored for check cashing stores, setting the stage for a career dedicated to creating impactful software. This early success led to a significant project with Shell Oil from 1995 to 1997, where I led a team of 20 Squarerigger programmers, testers, and DB administrators to develop a "quick lube" application for over-the-road truckers.1997 marked a major milestone with the development of the first version of SQ.7 Fleet Maintenance Management System, initially known as "Truck Tracker". This innovative system laid the foundation for what would become a cornerstone in fleet maintenance management.In 2000, I relocated our corporate office from California to Washington State, a strategic move to foster growth and innovation. Since then, my focus has been on the continuous development of SQ.7, enhancing its capabilities and expanding its reach. We introduced "Sidekick" Mobile Shop, a versatile application available on both Android and Apple products, ensuring our clients have the tools they need at their fingertips.In 2024, I spearheaded the rebranding and relaunch of the Squarerigger brand, aligning it with our mobile application to better serve our evolving customer base. This strategic rebranding effort underscores our commitment to innovation and our vision for the future of fleet maintenance management.
