After almost 20 years working in television production, I found my niche when I began Edit House Productions, LLC in the year 2000. Edit House is a full-service video production company that also houses Ad House Advertising, an advertising agency that works extensively in digital marketing and development. These two businesses work closely with one another to create comprehensive advertising solutions for a host of clients working in a variety of fields. In May of 2022, Edit House acquired a 6,000sf facility and transformed a 2,000sf space into a television and still photography studio.Long before Edit House was established, I began my career in television in 1984 as the master control operator at KAYS-TV in Hays, Kansas. In 1988, I began work directing early morning news at KSNW-TV and continued honing my skills producing local and regional television commercials and videos. In January of 1997 I moved to KRQE-TV’s news promotions department and was tasked with writing and producing news promotions. I soon advanced to assistant promotions manager, then production manager. The insight and experience I gained in my varied employment informed my decision to establish Edit House Productions in 2000. Together with my wife, Kim Smith, the company began from a room in our house, until we expanded and moved into a commercial space in 2002. With the addition of Ad House Advertising, the business has continued to expand, anticipating the increased popularity of pay-per-click advertising and digital marketing. Together Edit House Productions and Ad House Advertising are a full-service advertising agency that develop TV, radio, websites, print, and online marketing materials for businesses and organizations around the country. We are the first business in New Mexico to receive accreditation as a Google Partner Agency, and maintain an edge in our field through continued Google training. As an elite Google All-Star agency, we have been invited to the Google Headquarters on several occasions for workshops and new product input.
