Brighton & Hove
The key objective of the LSEP is to ensure the implementation and ongoing review of the Brighton & Hove City Employment & Skills Plan (CESP). The group is made up of a cohesive and co-ordinated selection of representatives, including members from Brighton & Hove City Council, Department of Work & Pensions (DWP), Jobcentre Plus (JCP), National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) and City College Brighton & Hove, among others. The LSEP also monitors the Brighton & Hove Economic Strategy 2013-2018 and reports actions of the CESP to the Local Strategic Partnership. As Chair, I represent the LSEP on the board of Brighton & Hove Connected (BHC). BHC is Brighton & Hove’s Local Strategic Partnership. It is the overarching strategic partnership for the city and provides a single local co-ordination framework within which other partnerships can operate. The BHC board brings together the different parts of the public sector, as well as the private, business, community and voluntary sectors so that different initiatives and services support each other and work together. BHC is responsible for developing and driving the implementation of the Sustainable Community Strategy (SCS) and the City Performance Framework.
