My professional experience has evolved mostly around the Hospitality Industry and other Customer Service business environments. This experience has given me the opportunity to interact with various customers, clients and guests. For the past 30+ years I have worked in customer service environments that include, but not limited to: retail, fine dining, hotel and food service environments, administrative and sales, building facilities and other related environments. I was able to train, lead and manage an employee staff of 7 or more at various brand operations.(Einstein Bagels, Starbucks) I have gained the general knowledge of what it takes to gain customers and keep them supporting your business consistently. I have had the pleasure of working with some of the very brightest and talented managers and chefs that has inspired me to understand certain areas in business; (e.g.) retail purchasing, food safety, merchandising, P&Ls, excel spreadsheets, customer service and inventory control procedures. I also have a very good understanding of SWOT analysis, the 4 P's, supply chain management and competitive advantage strategies. My desire is to learn more business management skills in order that I can become an effective trainer in the youth development field. My hope is to become heavily involved in Customer Service Administration while utilizing my business knowledge and training techniques to further my desire to educate the disadvantaged and low literacy adults and youths in better health.
