Eddy Moratin is President of Lift Orlando, a movement of business leaders working with residents and community partners towards neighborhood revitalization since 2013. This collaborative approach has been decreasing childhood poverty and increasing financial mobility for families in the heart of Orlando. The organization strengthens neighborhoods by building high quality, mixed-income housing and providing a cradle to career educational pipeline while improving community health and wellness, and creating economic opportunity for residents. LIFT Orlando is a member of the Purpose Built Communities Network.Prior to co-founding Lift Orlando, Eddy was the Executive Director of Lifework Leadership Orlando, a leadership development organization dedicated to the training and transformation of businessleaders. Before this, he was co-founder of BAM, providing co-working and virtual business solutions as well as Laurus International, a call center solutions company, employing hundreds domestically and abroad. As a social innovator and entrepreneur he has led purpose-driven organizations in real estate, leadership development, communications and business services. He enjoys working with emerging leaders, CEO’s, foundations and healthcare institutions to rethink business as usual and make an impact on complex problems.He was awarded the 2019 CEO of the Year Award by the Orlando Business Journal and was listed as one the 50 Most Powerful Philanthropy and Community Voices in 2018. He is a member of the board of directors of the Jacksonville Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, the Orlando Economic Partnership, and The Foundation for Orlando’s Future. He is a former chair of the Polis Institute board of directors and a former board member of the YMCA of Central Florida. He currently serves as a Senior Fellow at PathNorth in Washington D.C., as an Advisor to the 4 Roots Foundation and the NCF Foundation in Orlando, FL.
